Jody J. O’Donnell
Jody’s career path has provided him with a diverse skillset and a strong drive for excellence and attention to detail to become a technical SEO consultant. He began his journey by serving in the Oregon Army National Guard while still in high school. This foundation led him to a career in law enforcement with the Oregon State Police, where he honed his critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. However, Jody ultimately decided to unleash his inner geek and go into the tech world.
Jody’s passion for knowledge led him to specialize in Technical SEO. He excelled in this field, holding key technical positions and working with some of the largest brands in the world. These experiences provided him with a solid grounding of the digital landscape, from infrastructure and tech stack to user experience and search optimization.
When not trying to figure out how to scale all the wonderful python scripts everyone writes, Jody enjoys an active life. He loves being in the outdoors while mountain biking, surfing, fly fishing, frisbee golfing, and spending time with his wife and two boys in the sunny Central Oregon high desert.
Experience
Jody was the SEO Manager for G5 Search Marketing, Technical SEO Director for Audette Media, RKG, and Merkle’s SEO department. He also was the Technical SEO Program Manager for Google Cloud, Google Workspace, Google EDU and many more. Jody has the ability to talk directly with engineering teams to collaborate to find solutions to technical problems.
Jody has almost 15 years of in-house and marketing agency SEO working with some of the biggest brands including Under Armor, Google, Anthropologies, Urban Outfitters, Sears, Wal-Mart, 1-800 Flowers, National Geographic, and many more.
